High Growth 50/50 Floating & Sinking is a mix of floating and sinking pellets. The sinking part sinks to the bottom, making some fish turn to their natural foraging behavior, to look on the bottom for food. The fish eat slowly which comes with less stress and food envy. Accordingly, the more shy fish in this way will also provide to their needs.

Complete Starters food for your Nishikigoi. Give your young Nishikigoi a good head start the first year by feeding them Baby Food by House of Kata. At this early stage in life the body will be shaped, back edge and gills will develop dependent on the given food substances. For a good growth and development of young Nishikigoi our food contains a high endosperm percentage. The balanced quality to natural minerals track elements and added vitamins reinforce the vitality of the Nishikigoi. For optimum growth and development, you should feed very young Nishikigoi up to 7 percent of their bodyweight; Regular Nishikigoi only 1 to 3 percent and the Jumbo Nishikigoi only a half percent of its bodyweight.
Due to small Nishikigoi having shorter bowels, the digestion performance is less than that of larger fish in the same water circumstances. However, the small Nishikigoi must process more food; this is why we recommend feeding more often but in smaller quantities. This will also prevent the undigested pellets polluting the water. Only feed your fish as much as they can eat within 5 minutes. The digestion of Nishikigoi works at its best when the water temperature is above 20 degrees Celsius. House of Kata uses ideal small 1.3mm pellets. Research shows, feeding small pellets help contribute to a better digestion for fish. The pellets sink, so the young koi do not have to surface in order to eat. This is a much more natural way of feeding and is therefore less stressful. If you want the best for your Babykoi this food is essential.

Feeding Advice: Conduct as from 8 degrees water temperature; Due to the low water temperature in the winter period your Nishikigoi will stay at the bottom of the pond. They will eat less, so feed them less. For optimal feeding we advise you to use Balance Sinking from House of Kata.
